FAQ

IS IT POSSIBLE TO MEASURE MY OWN KITCHEN?

It is.  Here is a document and a link to a video that will help you understand how to accurately measure your own kitchen.

HOW ARE YOUR CABINETS MADE?

Our cabinets are made in a big modernized factory under strict quality control procedures and with high quality materials. For example, our cabinets are made with 15 mm plywood, durable hardware, and solid wood doors in Canadian maple, North American cherry, and European beech (NO particle board anywhere).  All drawers are dovetailed (not available in the Flat White Cabinet option).

WHAT ARE RTA CABINETS?

RTA cabinets – also known as ready-to-assemble cabinets – are kitchen cabinets that come flat-packed and ready for easy assembly and installation. Unlike standard cabinets that require someone to drill holes and add latches and knobs or pulls, RTA cabinets already come with the hardware you need and the holes drilled. They just require assembly and we provide instructions for the savvy DIY'er or we can offer assembly at an additional fee.

DO RTA CABINETS STILL OFFER QUALITY?

Yes.  Ready-to-assemble doesn’t mean lower quality. In fact, they are made of the same great hardwood as those custom-made to order, but they will save you money so you can focus on other things, like your appliances, floors, new kitchen decor. They come with their stain or paint applied which saves you work down the line.

DO YOU OFFER SOFT CLOSING HARDWARE?

Cabinets come with European soft-close hinges and most come with under mount soft-close drawer glides (this option is not available for the Flat White or Honey Shaker cabinet choices)

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO GET CABINETS?

From date of order and deposit, most cabinets arrive within 12 business days from our Vancouver warehouse.

DO YOU ASSEMBLE OR DO WE?

RTA cabinets are ready to assemble and perfect for the savvy DIY'er.  We also provide assembly instructions and hints for those excited to put their own cabinets together.  However, Kamloops Kitchens and Cabinets does offer cabinet assembly for an small fee.  Assembly of an average size kitchen ( maybe 18 cabinets) will take 1 week.

DO YOU OFFER DESIGN AND INSTALLATION?

We don't have staff that do this because we work with some incredibly talented people in our local community who provide those services really well.  Just ask and we will provide the contact information of these beautiful humans.

WHAT LOCATIONS DO YOU SERVICE?

We have satellite offices in Kamloops and Red Deer and can provide cabinets BC-wide and into the Calgary and Edmonton areas.

CAN WE VISIT YOUR SHOWROOM?

Yes you can.  Please make an appt to come and see our cabinets through our 'contact us' page, by email, info@kamloopskitchensandcabinets.com or by phone (250) 574-1384.
